The digital SAT is section-adaptive: the second module a student sees depends on the first. That makes a single practice score a poor guide to what to teach next — two students with the same total can have taken different tests. Readiness measured per domain does not have that problem.

A student counts as ready on a domain when they answer its questions correctly on a fresh attempt — one they have not seen, or have not seen for at least two weeks. That is the number the readiness guarantee is written against. See the terms.
